Hi! i thought i'd give you another update...my mom is doing INCREDIBLY well. she was up walking yesterday, and walking pretty far to just have had surgery the day before. when she returns to her room she's ready to rest. after not being permitted to eat for almost 72 hours, she started her liquid diet this morning at 6 am. she's been really hungry these past couple of days. her last meal was wednesday @ 2pm. after surgery she wasn't allowed to consume anything, b/c the doctor wanted the pouch to heal and consumption too soon can cause the pouch to leak. much to our surprise when the food arrived she wasn't hungry anymore. she was told to eat anyway. i think all she really wants to do is sleep, the nurses don't let her get much rest. they're always in and out which is good, but she's exhausted. she should be coming home tomorrow morning. check out is at 11am. i'm excited that she'll be back home. she's excited too. she misses home, and when she gets here she can catch up on her rest. :)

Hi everyone!!! i'm my mom's angel. she went in for surgery this afternoon. she is doing very well, she's very alert, has her regular sense of humor, but she's quite sore. when they wheeled her in the room i was waiting for her, even though she wasn't expecting me. it was nice to see her smile and happy to see me. i was really worried about her throughout the whole process. Thank the Lord she's doing very well. I talked to her surgeon on the phone and he told me she did very well during the procedure as far as vital signs and so forth. he said she woke up talking.....that's my mom!!! :) thanks to all of her obesityhelp.com friends for supporting her. she really appreciates it, as do i. i'll be visiting everyday, so i'll keep you updated!!! :) God Bless!!

Vicki! Hey gurl! I know you are not gonna get this till after your surgery but I just wanted to let you know I am thinking of you! I did pre-op yestarday and thought of you all day!
