Hi Mia, I read your post, I know what you mean about not losing. one month I loss 2lbs, can you believe that. Talking about upset and depressed. what I did was went back to basics, and refocused. I focused on my high protein meats I have never drank protein drinks. I got them from my foods.focused on proteins, if it don't have any, I don't eat it. NO, pasta, rice, sweets, bread, oils, butter etc, sometimes I do eat veggies just alittle. also when I want a complete meal I will eat lean cuisine. this is the only dinners I eat. they are very low in calories and they fill you. I will eat this for dinner. far as drinking I just drink water 64oz or more a day. juices I have stopped, sometimes I will drink tea made with a sugar subsitute(sp) also exercises everyday. I have no answers only to try changing some things. I have had so many plateaus I hate to say. LOL. I do get depressed with not losing, cause I don't know what Im doing wrong. So hang in there, I guess Im going to be the one who will be taking baby steps through this journey. So far I've loss 100lbs, and have lots more to go. atlease another 100 plus about 40 lbs. it gets hard now, today is my 6th month.grrrrrr. Oh well hon, you take care and try to eat nothing but your high protein meats nothing eles for awhile. and see what happens. I boils a hamburger patty and put ketcup and cheese on it and cut it up and eat it. then eat a yogurt. I eat this in the morning, noon and for dinner a lean cuisine dinner. snack at nights is anything lite. but to jumpkick your wt loss try your meats for a week first. Good luck friend. let me know if it works, take care ~*~Hugs~*~

Hi Mia, We've talked before. I'm 2 months out this coming Monday and I'm only down 36. Talk about dissappointing!! I'm doing everything right but it's not like I thought it would be either. So tired of seeing those posts that say "I lost 70 pounds in 3 months". I want to deck them. Maybe we will be the ones to take it off and keep it off. I'll hang in there if you do.

Mia, 40lbs in 2 months is good! Stick with your exercize, drinking your water and getting in your 60-70 grams of protein a day and you'll be just fine. What really helps me is logging my food every day. I use www.calorieking.com and it really helps me to see what I'm eating. Good luck to you!

girl stop beating yourself up.. you are doing fine.. just focus on the furture and stop weighing in on the scale.. (im one to talk i weigh everyday) It does the same things to me.. I just made up some excuse about water weigh and me being on my period.. anyway you doing great.. just get your water in, and protein base foods only and im sure you will see if come off. and i know you heard the song and dance about sometimes your body will plateau.. dont sweat it.. your body knows what its doing.. next week you will be telling me how you lost some more weight.. SMILE i know the feeling i get discourage when the scale dont move or when it bounces.. but i know im better than i was before and thats all that matters.. i didnt gain 262 in 6 months i dont expect to lose 100 of it in 6 months.. now with this surgery i expect to lose it in about one year.. But that just my wishful thinking.. Anyway smile you doing great.. Your weight lost sista .. sherell

Girl relax, I hate those plateaus also. Just up what ever you are already doing, cut out anything that's not suppose to be like snacking, pasta, rice, sugars, Focus on your high protein meats, water, and exercises. The THREE MAIN THINGS TO DO. You will continue to lose don't worry. Stay focused and enjoy your journey. I can really say I surly am. 4 more lbs and I will be joining the century club. Yay! LOL Take care ~~Hugs~~

Hey all!! I'm now 22days post op. Scales now down to 220. Seems like it's been stuck there for over a week now. Don't know if I'm doing something wrong or what. I'm on pureed foods now. I can't get my brain to understand that I'm supposed to mush everything. So, really I'm still on full liquids with a few added foods. Really I only added mashed potatoes to my meal. And fruit. I have my high protein carnation instant breakfast drinks, high protein hot cocoa, cream of vegetable soup, Crystal Light coolers, basically, the things that are in the BTC book on the sample menus. Any suggestions on how to get the darn scale to move???? Love to you all. And my prayers go out to all that need it! MUAH!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Mia! Glad you are back and doing well with your recovery. You have experienced and have overcome many obstacles, and you are still standing. Remember that. If God brings you to it, he will see you through it. God Bless.

Hey everybody!!! I have missed you all soooooooo much! I've been at my mom's recovering and her computer is down. So, I haven't been able to get on and update. But I'm doing well. 23 days post op and I'm down to 217. Last time I was weighed b4 surgery, I was 249. I couldn't get to my scale at home til today, so I haven't been weighed since my 2wk checkup. But, I feel great. Still moving a tad bit slow. But other than that, I'm doing well. No complaints or complications thus far (Thank you JESUS)!!
