Ralph Pennino

"Dr. Pennino is absolutely awesome-- no other word for it. I had my tummy in the summer of 2004 followed by my arms and breasts in December. It was amazing to see my feet without my tummy being in the way! I have my face scheduled for this summerand my thighs for December. The tummy, breasts, and arms have made such a huge difference in not only how my clothes fit but also how I feel about myself. Can't wait to see how I will look once I am done with the next two surgeries. Dr. Pennino's office staff and nurses are as awesome as he is. They all make you feel very comfortable which is important when you have skin that hangs to the "floor"!! I went to three other plastic surgeons to have consultations before I choose Dr. Pennino. There is a such a difference betweeen approaches -- amazing. I immediately felt comfortable with my choice of Dr. Pennino -- an exceptional caring doctor, talented, caring, and extremely interested in the post bariatric gastric bypass patient. His philosophy is to restore you to as close as possible to what you hope for..... and succeed he does. Each individual has to decide for themselves where they will go for plastic surgery -- same as we all had to do when deciding on our hospital and procedure for our original bariatric surgery. Good luck to all of you that are on your road!"

Kane Community Hospital

"I think that the program at Kane Commuity Hospital is awesome. They are a very small hospital but approach this surgery as their speciality. They are part of the nation-wide LivLite program. Every single person that I met from my initial call, to pre-op, to the surgery itself and my stay in the ICE, to the post-op have been first rate. Excellent care, extremely personal and caring about the individual, always there to answer your questions, etc. I am so happy with my choice! They have proven to me that you don't have to be a big hospital to be good at what you do."

Renato Simon

"I met with Dr. Simone on the 19th of May at Kane Community Hospital in Kane, Pa. He did an excellent job explaining the surgery (including and I quote "you can die, you can die, you can die") -- not sure why he says it three times! He seems to be very gentle, kind and sincerely interested in helping overweight people. He told me that he has been doing bariatric surgery for many years (I forget how many) but is fairly new to the type he is performing now. He has done enough of them that I am comfortable. The office staff at Kane is awesome. They are very considerate and aware of your needs. For example, at one point I had to climb a flight of stairs and the person leading me automatically walked slowly. The office area and hospital has lots of "oversized" chairs and equipment -- nice to see. The aftercare program as explained seems pretty structured. My surgery is scheduled for June 11th!!!!! Some of my family think that the hospital is too small and would prefer that I go to a bigger hospital -- I think that size isn't always the only measure of excellence."
