Happy ONE Year Anniversary to You! I hope that this post finds you healthy and happy. Please remember to drop by and update your profile from time to time. It's important for others to be able to see how we post-ops do on our journeys. You never know who you might inspire. Have a great day.

Hi all! Eleven days post op and am down 23 pounds! Still struggling with food and drink - trying to get in my protein but it's tough. If I drink a protein supplement, then I really have trouble getting in all my water. It's early yet, I know everything fall into place. Practice makes perfect.

Hi all! Hard to believe but today at 11:00 AM I was officially one week post-op. I've been reading posts but hadn't felt like sitting long enough to post until today. I had an open RYN last Tuesday at Pomerado Hospital in San Diego. My surgery was uneventful, thank goodness. Pain was well controlled and they let me out by noon on Thursday. Hate being on liquids; clear liquids til last Monday, now full liquids. Starting Monday, I've drank one protein supplement every day, hoping it will help with my energy which is relatively low. I'm not complaining, only had surgery a week ago, but I must need more than crystal-lite, water, tea, and cream of mushroom soup to increase my energy. Almost weaned off the pain meds, tylenol takes care of any discomfort most of the time. Lortab elixir just before bed. I go for my post-of appt. with the doc on Thursday and I'm hoping they advance me to soft foods. Haven't weighed yet so I'm also anxious to do that at the doctors. Thanks for everyone's encouragement and support

Hi Helena, I wanted to congratulate you on the decision you have made to have this surgery. I know that you may be nervous but I wanted to let you know that God cares for you affectionately, and He is watching over you as a mother would their infant. Would it be reasonable for a well-loved infant to worry? Neither is it reasonable for you to worry when God loves you and has promised to take care of you. Remember to pray, and He will give you strength and peace. Keep us informed. Kim
