"My first meeting with Dr Nakeeb was fantastic. In general I do NOT like being around doctors - I always feel like they don't care about me as a person even though they hold my health & my life in their hands. Dr Nakeeb was like a breath of fresh air - I was comfortable with him immediately. There was no doubt in my mind that he sincerely cares about each of his patients. He has a great confidence & a good sense of humor. He was very insistent about aftercare & making sure that I understood exactly what I was getting myself into. He never dodged any of my questions, no matter how personal, gruesome or sensitive they were - he was always honest & direct. I apparently didn't ask enough questions during my initial consultation with him because I turned up many more over the next couple of weeks. So my repeated calls to Laura & Susan (his staff) filled in the gaps - wonderfully. They were always prompt in returning calls & understanding about my panic moments. They answered all my questions and concerns. They did get a bit annoyed at my phone calls every couple of days to see if my insurance company had sent them the approval, but once that came through everything continued to sail smoothly. I met with Deb (the nurse practitioner) during my final pre-op appointment & fell instantly in love with her. She is so compassionate & organized – I’m in good hands & have absolutely nothing to worry about. Any remaining jitters I had about going through this melted straight away after spending time talking through all the ‘left over’ details with her. She competently handles the details so that Dr Nakeeb can focus on being my surgeon – what a great team. Between Dr Nakeeb, Deb, Laura, Susan & the staff at Frodtert, I feel like I am well and truly in the hands of caring professionals. "
