"My initial visit was March 8, 2001 and about 10 minutes outside Grove City I blew a tire with no spare and had to be towed. At first I thought this was a sign - don't have this surgery, but when I called the center was very helpful and allowed me to come in as soon as I got back on the road. Saw Dr. Choban at about 3:00 instead of my 11:00 am appointment. She was very friendly and quite thorough in covering the details. I had done alot of homework on the procedure and really had no major questions. The patient consult with a former surgery patient went well too. Her surgery was 5 years ago and she has kept off 150 lbs. I am confident all will go as well for me. Since it was at the end of her day, I think Dr. Choban was generous with the time and attention she gave me. I know she has good credentials and an affiliation with OSU Medical School. She has performed this surgery for many years and I feel she is well educated and competent along with being personable - first impression. Overall I'd give an intial 8 (check back after the surgery)."
