We have a new place to meet!!! We are having our monthly Support Group Meeting on Saterday April 3, 2004 at 5:00pm. The meeting will be held at Gold Dust Park here in Villa Rica inside the rec. department. There is no cost and we have many things lined up for the months ahead. Samples and tastings are just a couple of examples of whats to come. We hope that you will be able to attend. Please mark your calendars for this date. If you can attend please reply to this e-mail. Hello Sharon, I managed to write a pre- op note and one 6 month post op note on my profile so when I read your step by step documentation I was inspired to write more. I know what you mean by body image problems because my 107 wt loss looks great in clothes but my naked body looks so ugly around my hips and abdomen and arms with all the sagging skin. I can't afford tummy tuck without Insurance so I will wait till closer to the 1 and1/2 year mark as Dr Appel told me before pursuing skin tuck. I think I'll feel better after that. Hi Sharon- I've been checking your post every since your day of surgery for any and all updates on your progress. I am thankful to God that you are feeling well and everything is moving along. Although, I still have yet to meet you - I feel blessed to have corresponded with you thru this site. May God continue to bless and I'll definitely see you at this month's meeting - I hope you feel well enough to make it. Be blessed.

Hi Sharon! You made it girl! I couldn't wait to read your angel post, up dates. I am so sorry you had to go through such an ordeal. I have been praying for you and will continue to do so till I know you are ok all the way. All I can say is now that the Dr.knows what was happening on the inside and has been able to relieve you of some of the parts that were giving you trouble, you are going to do great with the WLS. I am sure of it! Gods blessings and a healthy recovery to you.

Sharon, my prayers are with you that you heal well and uncomplicated. Whew! Mercy, 9 hours in surgery and fixing all that stuff is enough!! You get well soon, hang in there!! God Bless/Irene

Sharon underwent 9 hours in surgery. Larry said her doctors told him she had a lot of scar tissue from previous surgery. He removed her gallbladder, removed several feet of small bowel, he said her stomach had gotten up under her ribs and was pressing on her heart. The doctor called Larry twice during the surgery and said she was doing fine. Larry called me Friday morning and said she would be in ICU probably until Sunday. I went up to visit her this afternoon, but I spent 2 hours in a traffic back-up and finally turned around as soon as I could. I will try again on Sunday. I have a funeral to go to tomorrow. Lets all continue to pray for Sharon.
