Darius Ameri
"Dr. Ameri was confident, reassuring, knowledgeable, and charming to boot! I liked his easy going manner in combination with his air of confidence. Although I had some pretty controversial questions, he answered them assuredly and with passion. He is straightforward and he likes an educated patient. As far as his staff, Louise is great. Many people say she frightens them, but she really just presents the facts. I like that. As for Linda, I have mixed feelings. I know she can be very nice and will answer questions when she has time, but I always feel like I am bothering her (and it's not me just being paranoid--she told my doctor I called a lot, which really wasn't true-I called with legimate concerns), plus, she can be a little impatient sometimes. Just have everything you need when you need it. I think Linda is a kind person, just very overworked. Overall, I will say I was initally concerned with the small office and Dr. Ameri's lack of experience (only 75) until I did a background check and found he was a well respected member of the board of bariatrics, well respected by his peers and collegues in Massachusetts, and had been doing lap surgery for over 20 years. The small setting has it's inconveniences (no doing everything at once, the wait, rushing, etc.), but there is nothing like the one on one treatment vs. the assembly line service other, larger places offer. "
