"I had a consult today, Feb 1, at the Bariatric Treatment Center in Belvidere, IL. I arrived over an hour early (I wasn't sure about the drive time after a snow storm). I was immediately given paperwork to fill out. I was taken to an exam room about 10 min after completing paperwork. Weighed and blood pressure taken. Spoke with May, a patient counselor, she was super. She is also a former patient. Dr. Schlessinger came in and began his routine. I think that he has his speach down pat. I am sure that he uses the same words in the same order with each patient. But, I am very confident in him. He stressed how very important it is to follow the program. I had done a lot of research on the web so I really didn't have any questions. I've been frustrated with BTC. They seem to be understaffed in the insurance department. I have to keep calling to remind them that they need to contact my ins. co. It took over a month for my ins. co. to send the approval and that was after I made 6 phone calls to them. I think BTC should have been making those calls. "
