I am doing well and have lost 17 lbs. Had my staples out today and I am concerned because I have some redness to keep an eye on! My operation took 2 hours and I had bronchospasms during surgery and had to go to the intensive care unit over night and they let me wake up on the ventalator! How scary! I was awake on the venatlator from 3 pm to 1230 am and hated every minute of it! The suctioning was horible but necessary and I new it and made it through fine! Came home Friday-had rough weekend-but bettereach day of this week! I feel energetic and excited right now! Good luck to all thos with upcoming surgeries! Christine

Christine, I am wishing you a safe, complication free surgery and a smooth, quick recovery. I had my Open RNY on 12/10/01 and have absolutely NO regrets other than not having done it several years sooner. I can honestly say, without a doubt, that this is the best thing I have ever done for myself. God bless you as you start your healthy new life.
