Hi Tamra - sorry to hear about your problem with that doctor - i expect it brought up a lot of painful feelings - well at least you know now that you were not abnormal about how you felt about him and that at last he has been exposed - leave it in God's hands now Tamra and try to let go of it, even though it may be hard to do so - otherwise you are twice a victim of him - don't let him hurt you twice - kind regards

Hi Tamra, I also live in AK. We are stationed at Ft Wainwright. I just had my surgery 3 weeks ago....I went to TX to see Dr Warnock. My only complaint is that I am still low on energy. But I had my surgery open...so I am still healing. Do you ever get to the support groups in Fairbanks? Its nice to see another Alaskan on here. God Bless...

Tamra,I work rotating shifts, one week days, one week afternoons and then one week midnights. I have constant jet lag. I too have trouble sleeping and waking up after only 1 hour and unable to sleep until I have to get up to go to work. But I have found that taking calcium helps alot. I take OS-cal twice a day. I always take one about 1 half hour before sleep. It really helps. Good luck. Mary Loudon Lap RNY 6/18/02 -73 lbs.

Tamra, everytime I read a posting of yours, I feel like I know you.My reactions would have been similiar to yours regarding the party. What a lost opportunity to encourage others by not having a time for everyone to open up on the improvements in their life since the weight loss. Are you still not smoking? That is a hard thing to give up and be going thru the recovery from surgery also. I have heard that the Northern Lights are beautiful. You really are living in God's country.I have trouble sleeping myself and try very hard not to use the sleeping pill the Dr gave me. Have a good Sunday and post soon.Leslie

Hang on there girlfriend......don't reach for those cigarettes!!! You can do it. If you need a friend to chat with let me know. Try to remember that no one can judge you except our Lord Jesus, not some bishop of a church or members of the congregation. I will be thinking of you in your time of need, God be with you. Tamra, If you check my profile you will see foods that I ate when I was just about where you are, post-op. It took me almost 7 weeks to feel "human" again. My doctor said that getting up and OUT was the best thing to do to get the energy back. He said I would be tired from it, but forcing yourself to do things is the best way. hang in there! diane
