Hi Joy: I am also on ss disability and I got my whole surgery covered compleatly. I have medicade and medicare too. I am very happy I did the surgery. I am now 3 1/2 months out and am doing great and not wheelchair bound now and having an exciting life now. I am a college student, play with my nieces and nefews for the first time in 10 years. enjoy shopping, jewelry, any thing that smells good, movies, concerts and am a party animal.I am a social flower, a blooming idiot.Ha Ha.I can walk about 20 min now a day and can do almost anything I want to within reason. I can bathe myself, wash dishes some, take out the trash onec ina while, etc. I know you can and will do the same in time. Go For it it is great to live for the first time in my life. I am 45 years old and feel like I am 20. It took me about 1 1/2 years for the surgery but the wait was well worth it.
