"My first impression of Dr. Schmitt was very favorable. I attended WLS seminar at Medical Center East where he explained the RNY procedure. He took great care to outline the benefits and the risks involved in the operation. His office staff was professional and most helpful.
A patient is required to attend a support group, a nutrition class, a physiological evaluation and a sleep apnea evaluation. All of this is worth the effort to insure a safe and successful RNY procedure.
I chose Dr. Schmitt because of the up front program and the reputation of the follow up care and treatment.
I have not has surgery yet, but so far I'm well pleased with Dr. Schmitt and his staff.
