"Dr. Husted was everything I was hoping for and more. He was not critical about how much I weigh as I have faced with other Doctors. He seemed very knowledgable in what I was wanting done, understanding of why I want it done, and assured me I was making the right choice. His seminar that is a prerequisite to your first visit with him was very informative. He goes over everything from hospital admission to your weightgoal. I enjoyed the seminar very much. His nurse Jamie, and staff, Janet and Vicki are most helpful. They will do everything they can to make this possible for you. I can't think of one thing that was negative about this Doctor or his staff. He does emphasize how important aftercare is. You must follow up with him and make sure you are doing well. This is very major and he wants to make sure you obtain your goal and stay healthy along the way. There are risks involved, even death in about 1% of all that have this done. No matter what you are having done, being put to sleep is a risk. You have to weigh what is most important to you. I can not do it and die of a heart attack at a young age, or I can proceed and if I died at surgery, I was doing something I wanted to do! After surgery I will come back and update bedside manner.
