"I met Dr. Hixon when my good friend had RNY. I felt that he was skilled, pleasant, well-trained, well-educated, etc. and decided to choose him as my surgeon. I have met him several times with my friend -- my turn will be July 11th when I get to meet hime for ME. My impression of Dr. Hixon remains the same. His staff is also just great. Rachel always returns my calls. She has never made false promises, she delivers what she says she will. She won't take bribes to better your surgery date (LOL). Dr. Hixon sends his patients to Dr. Burrowes support group - he also performs surgeries, etc. in conjuction with Dr. Burrowes, and uses the FOBI pouch with the RNY surgery. The aftercare program is not structured, but it is improving, and the group is growing to include plastic surgeons, etc. I would say that Dr. Hixon's surgical competence is superior to his bedside manner, but ..."
