"The majority of the staff was very polite. Pre-op I was very scared and there was a nurse who asked me if I was *sure* I wanted to do this and calmed me down. Post-op the unit staff was polite, but I don't think they completely understood how hard it might be to do some normally run-of-the-mill tasks (like going to the bathroom and showering) with an incision. At first you're a little scared to move too quickly or unable to twist around. They could have offered to be a little more helpful."
