Hi Amber,
Dr. Phil is ok on some issues, and I'm glad he is at least talking about it, as many others haven't. I will tell you that I'm one year out, and it is not all consuming, as I can eat whatever I want except sugars and fats. It's just harder now to say No to the carbs, as I'm a carb addict. You do thing constantly about eating right, and trying to make good choices for you new little tummy; but that is what is supposed to happen "mindful eating". Anyway, you wouldn't be normal if you weren't fearful. It is a major surgery, and should be weighed out carefully.
Maybe this will help,
As you take your journey to the inner, and thinner you, remember:
The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance; but the Lord looks at the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7
For I am the LORD, you God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Isaiah 41:13
Don't tell GOD how big your storm is. Tell the storm how big your GOD is!
Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:31
I have heard your prayers, I have seen your tears. Surely, I will heal you. 2 Kings 20:5
I'm hoping you have a successful surgery, a rapid recovery, and much success in your weight loss journey.
