"I met with Dr.Patti on 1/30/01. I had had to jump thru all the hoops before I could get referred to him. They require 10% weight loss, psychriatric evalualtion and for me cardiologist clearance. I found Dr. Patti to be kind. He didn't go into a lot of detail about the surgery, he asked me what I already knew about it. My answers must have satisfied him, though he did give me the warnings of complications and that the surgery is not magic, I have to change my eating habits. I left his office with a surgery date, it all went pretty fast. "
