Hi Cathie! It is very normal to feel less than excited at this time. I was very anxious and nervous and downright scared! You are in very good hands with Dr. C, he was my doctor for my surgery that I had on 8/2/01. He is very kind and caring and you can be confident that you are in very capable hands. I will keep you in my prayers. Just wait, it only gets better from here! Do you have a support group or person? It makes a world of difference to be a part of a group that is going through what you are going through. There is a support group in the east county at Sonrise Church in Santee that includes anyone who wants to come. It is open to all whether just checking it out, preop and postop. It has been my Godsend. It meets on the 3rd monday of the month from 7pm to 8:30pm. The Thinnertimes.com website is awesome too! Take care and just enjoy this time as you are waiting. It was the longest six months for me too but so worth the wait! You'll be on the other side soon!
