Michelle, The swelling will go down in a week or two. But you really won't feel "normal" for about 6 weeks. I had my hyst. 3 years ago and it seemed to take FOREVER to get my energy back. But eventually it does come.. so try to be patient! Good luck and God Bless Tami

God Bless You..: ) It's just going to take some time...You have some delicate healing to do. Get enough rest and DON 'T be lifting anything heavier than a 2pound bag of sugar..Believe me, DON'T.Some light pain meds can help the ouch but time will do most of it. Big Huggzz to you and take care...Oh, a small pillow pressed against the tummy helps...

Hello everyone! IT IS MY RE-BIRTHDAY!! I am one year post-op today and the happiest I think in a very long long time. When I started I weighed 310lbs and now weigh 156lbs (down 154lbs and 6lbs from goal). After I reach that goal I would still love to loose 10 more pounds. Having wls last year on this day was a very scary thing for me as most of you already know about, but the following day was even harder to grasp. 9/11/02 will be a day we will all remember and now it is one year tomarrow the world changed forever. Me being post-op and the whole world in distress my depression was severe and I never thought things would get better but they did. Tomarrow will be a very solom day and my deepest thougts and prayers are with everyone out there who was directly affeced by this tragady. Let God be in all our hearts tomarrow and everyday. God bless everyone pre-op and post-op. It can happen for you too. Love to all! Michelle

Dear Michelle...Congratulations on making it to the century club...It must be a wonderful feeling. My surgery was just a couple of weeks after yours...I am nearing the 100 pound mark but won't make it quite by six months...But think how much better off we are than we were last summer...Isn't it amazing?!
