I'm HOME! I am 3 days post-op and I am doing better than I ever dreamed. I am tolerating my liquids, my pain medicine controls my pain, I had my first cup of carnation instant breakfast, and walked to the stop sign this morning. My surgeon was wonderful, the hospital was just fantastic, and I feel on top of the world at this moment. The worst thing I experienced was nausea when I was waking up from surgery, but that only lasted a few hours. I want to thank each of you for your support, my local support group (Reduce Every Dimension) and my family for walking me through every step of my journey. My first post-op visit is Wednesday, and I will up date again. Wherever you are in this journey, I wish you peace. I think finally making peace with my decision to have surgery made all the difference in the world. Keep lookin up, Marie

We are having surgery on the same day so I wanted to be sure to tell you that you are in my thoughts and prayers for a successful surgery and a speedy, uneventful, and pain-free recovery. We will both do great. God Bless...

Thank you for your beautiful card Marie! We will be Soul Surgery Sisters!!!! Just remember when they get you up walking.. I will be doing the same thing at the same time! I cant wait till we are losers together! Keep up that great attitude and know someone in Minnesota will be thinking of my SSS (see above) in Georgia! Woo Hoo.... Lets have fun with this!
