Good Samaritan

"I only had a few negative experiences while at Good Sam. It took 8 hours to get a room and so I was stuck in Recovery for too long. My family had limited access to me during this time which made their worry far worse than it had to be. I did have a few rotten experiences with nurses who did not want to help me move because of my size. It was very frustrating. Overall the nurses and staff were very supportive and accomodating though. I was pleased with the level of care."

William Roe, Jr.

"I liked Dr Roe from the very first time I met him. He is confident yet understated -- it is sort of hard to describe. I just felt secure that he knows exactly what he is doing and more than that -- that he really wants to see obese people become healthier and live their lives to the fullest. One thing that I especially like about him is his sense of humor. Maybe I am odd but I like some humor when discussing the re-routing of my innards. My best friend just had her surgery with Dr Roe and he was great -- very thorough with pre-op instuctions and made sure she was well taken care of in the hospital. It seemed that all you had to say was that you are a patient of Dr Roe's and any issue would be resolved. "
