Hi, I wanted to wish you good luck on your surgery. I just had surgery on 11/1 and, if you are like me, you are feeling both excited and scared. Being faced with your own mortality is very sobering. The day before my surgery was the worst, however, the day of surgery I wasn't nervous at all -- I was very calm. I guess I had faith that I was doing the right thing. Don't worry too much and have faith in your surgeon. I have lost about 25lbs, so this surgery works! Good luck to you and God bless!

Hi Thomas, I am having my surgery on 12.3.2001 also. I hope you have an easy recovery period. My sister used to live in Victorville. Take care of yourself.

Well, I have surgery scheduled for Dec. 3, and am a little nervous. I am looking forward to losing weight, but not the surgery itself. I have never had anything more serious than outpatient surgery, and have not actually been admitted to a hospital since I was about 10 years old. However, I will be at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego and have been told that it is a very good hospital. I have my final meetings with the dietitian, surgeon, and anesthesiologist on Nov. 30. Look out, world! Here I come!
