I came home today at about 11:00 - thank God! Don't get me wrong the nurses and hospital in general were the BEST. I've been the protector many, many times with loved ones in the hospital nd let me tell you the staff at St. Mary's is definately top notch! Dr. Harrington was great he came by every day to check on me. So did my primary care physician which suprised me - she was great though! I did really well - walked the first night. I couldn't get comfortable at all b/c of the gas pain. It was hard to get out of bed but I didn't want to kick my hubby out of the chair that he tried despirately to sleep in. I've keep everything down and get full real fast. I get tired really easy and still feel like I've got medicine head. Pain meds help with the tenderness in myh tummy. I FINALLY passed gas last night and let me tell you that made all the difference in te world. I felt like I could have run a lap around the floor!! Thank you everyone for your well wishes, I really appreciate them!! I'll update again soon....

Michelle - thank you for you words of support. My surgery went fine, and I am ( days out. I see you had surgery yesterday, and I hope everything is going well for you - I will be keeping you in my prayers. It's tough at first, but definetely worth it in the long run!! Take care!
