Cindy - I'm not sure how encouraging this is, but I can assure you that I was almost useless at times the last couple of weeks before my surgery date. Everything seemed so overwhelming and all I could think about was surgery. However, by taking one thing at a time, doing my best, and remembering I'm not superwoman, I survived. I'll be praying for you. Hopefully my surgery will be rescheduled for about the same time as yours and we can embark on the journey together.

Well it's getting closer i only have 23 more days and i will be joining everyone on the other side, I'am so excited at times and then at other times I'am scared, But like my husband say's honey just keep the faith,I have alot of faith in GOD but i know I'am not alone when I say I'am scared, but now i have an angel that will help look out after me. I cant wait to meet her. You know last month went really fast and now it seems this month is going really slow i guess because i want my day to hurry up and get here, Maybe i need to go see my pcp and get some "calm down med's" . well hugs and kisses to everyone ..May God Bless each and everyone of you beautiful people...

I'm wishing you an uneventful, complication free surgery and a speedy, smooth recovery. I had my open RNY on Dec. 10, 2001 and am so glad I did. Its the best thing I could have done for myself. God bless you as you begin your new life as a healthy person.
