Hey guys, I am so happy right now! The first couple days were a little tought. My mom was watching me, so I was walking every hour and a half the day after surgery. Today I feel like myself-I cleaned my room, took a shower and walked for 20 minutes straight at full speed. I had a little fever the first day, I started drinking more water and WOW did that fix that right up. I'm not taking my pain medication and I feel like I'm at 94%. By next week I should be ready for the college semester. Oh by the way-I've lost 12 1/2 pounds! ALRIGHT

Jessica, I wish I would have visited the surgery pager before now, but I have not. I could have been your angel...The hospital you are at is 30 minutes from me, and I also had my surgery done by Dr. Ferrari on 10-30-02. Please update soon...and when you are feeling better email me. we can compare notes.....I hope your surgery went smooth. WALK WALK WALK AND COUGH COUGH COuGH>>>>and drink that WATER>>>>

Looks like we share an anniversary. My surgery is schedules for 1/20/03. My thoughts go with you, and I wish you a speedy recovery with no complications. What a great newyears present,A new you....Good Luck, and God Bless

Hi Jessica! I had my RNY with Dr. Ferrari on 5/10/2001. He is really great. I didn't have any trouble. As a matter of fact when I woke up I wondered if he'd done the surgery at all! LOL You will soon be a postie so be sure to take care of yourself: Walk, walk, walk . . . cough, cough, cough . . . sip, sip, sip. You can do it! Be sure to let us know how you are doing and if you have any questions. Best of luck to you!

HI GUYS! Wow, thanks for all the support! I'm going to Houston today at 1:00pm and I will carry all of the wonderfull messages in my head to repeat them when necessary. Goodlord, whats up with the "Cross of Gold Speech?"-William Jennings Bryant. I had a whole night full of weight loss/ happy dreams and let me tell you if I lose ANY weight I will breakdance on the ground. Thank you everyone. You have helped me out so much! Hi Jessica! You are on your way!! I know this is a scary and exciting time for you. You are going to do just fine!!! Just think, You are starting a journey that only a few travel. You should be very proud of yourself. I am proud of you!!!! Think of some of the new things you will be able to do like take a long bike rides, get on a amusement park ride and not worry if you will fit in the seat, cross your legs, get on an airplane and not worry about asking for an extension and the best of all have the energy to do these things!!! Everything will be just fine and know this you have a wonderful group of people here to help you meet your needs. The best of luck on your surgery with a speedy and healthy recovery!!
