Hi Delora, I'm glad you are doing well.I haven't had my surgery yet but I have an appointment with my surgon on Dec21. What caught my eye about your post was your name.I have never talked to or met anyone with the same name as mine befor!It is pretty rare name. Praying that you have a successful recovery. Cheers to a longer healthier life!!!! Stop in on the message board and let everyone know how you are doing. Where else can you go and at a minutes time have hundreds of people willing to help you along your journey. Take care & God bless. Daniele :)

Hi everyone, I'm sorry that I have'nt been letting you all know whats going on with me. I have been so busy in the passed couple of months and have'nt been able to let you guys know what all has happened and to be honest I"m not sure I know where to start so much has happen since September of this year, Well to begin with I decide to have the surgery done (LOL) which you probaly knew I would, So I went ahead and sent my papers out and waited for them to come back and in about 2 weeks they did and as you all know I was denied.... So I appealed it and then once again sat and waited for the denial again.... But guess what this time I got approved I was suprised because I never get anything this easy and I thought it was too good to be true but I was wrong I have received a phone call from the my insurance company (omg) you can amagine my face (LOL) They talked to me about the risks I could have if i had this surgery done and this and that.... You all know insurance companies... So after all that yaking with the insurance company, I got an appointment with a surgeon his name is Dr.Randall Bolar of Lexington Ky, His was so nice but I was there all day long doing test and test and (L0L)more test.... But after all that was over and all the test come back good I was ready for my surgery, I was scheduled to have my surgery on Novermeber the 4th but did'nt get to have it done untill the 8th, something came up that day where could'nt do mine.. So I had to wait 4 more days and like everyone I horrified I just wanted to get it over..... Well I was put up at a hotel the 7th and went into the hospital the 8th at 6:30am and was ready for the surgery and 8:00am I was so scared but ready to get it over with if you know what I mean and I know most of you that have already had it done do.... Well I don't remember much after 8:00 but I do remember coming out of surgery and being fine but thats about it I was out of it all day the 8th well besides the time they came in and got me up to walk a little.... The next day they had to run some test of the ban to make sure it was working in my stomach right you know all this and it was misable having to sit on a stool and drink nasty liquid stuff while they take x-rays... Well I finaly got back to my room and rested some, the doctor came in later and told me that everything looked fine and if everything went well with me i could go home the next day... I was so excited and I made my self walk and walk and walk some more so they would let me go home but i got a little worried about me having to eat the next day because I was sick at my stomach already I think it was just the pain medication that they had me on that was making me so sick becase I took in my liquids really good the next day and got to come home.... I had a Dr.Richardson one of Dr.Bolars assiants to come in and talk to me and tell me what I was to do and not to do well you all know this part (LOL) Well i'm finally home (yepie yepie) I"m so happy to just be home but to just say that Samartion Hospital was the best I just can't explain how nice they were and so understading I have'nt been to a hospital as good as them I just can't say enuff about them, They are one of the BEST hospital's I have been too.. But there is no place like home.... I just anit stayed to hungry since i've been home but i'm doing real good I just can't beleive its finally over(yepie) This liquid diet looks so yummy (LOL)I'm doing better with every passing day and my drinking liquids is getting better too, all except the bathroom problem (UHOH)not a good feeling exspecialy when your really sore and its hard to get up and down and hard to pull your clothing up and down but I've got thur it..... Been walking alot to try and get the soreness out but its not working, well probaly is but it will take a while to get it all out, But i'm still doing very well.... and i'm so happy most of the time I don't do very well with surgery's anything that can happen will and I know some of you know that feeling, but this have actually suprised me to do this good.... KNOCK on wood (LOL) Well I'm a week out of the surgery and back to the doctor today feeling alittle weak but will make it.. (HeHe)The doctor tells me I go on my full liquid diet (WOW) full liquids (HAHAHA) anyway i'm dealing with it... and I have went from 247 to 227 (GREAT)I've lost 20 pounds but guess what i'm not suprised because I have'nt ate anything (LOL) But i'm very happy.... Well I have to go back to the doctor in 2 weeks so I'll let you all know how it goes and how much more I have lost by then.... I'll go for now and we keep you all posted with everything..... (TTFN)tah tah for now......

Dear Delora, Just wanted to let you know i'm here every step of the way... Whatever you choose to do just remember i'll be 2 steps behind... Me and You have been though alot over the years and there is nothing more in life i want to see more than for you to be happy, You know that i love you better than anything in this world.. you are the mother i never had to talk too and to do things with, We have had some great times and i will always have them in my heart and i know you will too even when bad times hit us both you will always sit down and remember me just like i remember you and thats the way i what it to always stay.... and just like always i want you to know i'm behind you 100% and thats goes all the way.... you are a very special person to me and someday you will relizes that... To me there is nothing wrong with your weight or the way you look but i know its hard on your health... well your probaly bout to cry by now but i want you to know i do love you and i think you know that by now just to let you know i will be there to hold your hand thur it all and i will always be there no matter what... You can't get rid of me and i don't think you would want too (haha) well i guess you know how i feel now so i hope you the best of luck in the whole world.... i'm your angel and in this case i will be there looking over you and helping you thur it all.... This is to you mom hope it touches your heart like you do mine..... LOVE ALWAYS FOR YOU! ! ! FORGET ME NOT! ! ! YOUR DAUGHTER NEXT DOOR :^)
