"My first meeting with him I was very suprised as to how young he looks or is!! And of course my first question was how long have you been doing this type of surgery. I like his answer of 4 years. His reputation is EXCELLENT all over the area and at the hospital. Hospital personnel would tell me all the time that I have a GREAT doctor. Before surgery I was fully informed of everything from every complication that could happen to a complete run down of aftercare instructions. Dr. Clements is very personable and friendly, and does get a bit embarassed when told of his reputation and what others say of him. I would highly recommend this surgeon and as of the writing of this page I have not had surgery yet... it is 6 days away..... November 15th, 2001. If there was a downside.. he is VERY busy.. he patient load has increased doo dramatically since he started at UAB... He is soo good though and that was expected. I alway felt he was there for me if I had any questions or concerns. He is very structured as far as his expectation and he is not into failures. He will say it like it is and not candy coat his thoughts.. he is not rude ... he is straight forward and to the point. "
