"My first appt. with Dr. Nigh is this Wednesday March 14th. I'm real nervous because I have a husband that can pretty much intimidate most people. He is supportive of me being healthy, but thinks the surgeon is just going to sell the procedure in order to make his house payment, so to speak. If you are reading this before 2pm on 3/14/01-please pray that my husband will behave and come across to Dr. Nigh as a concerned husband who is looking for the FACTS/TRUTH. Will post again later. 3/23/01 Well, I received a shock-surprise at my consult on 3/14. The surprise was Dr. Nigh is not who you're scheduled with, it's Dr. Ditslear. Who? Well, he is new to the Winlife group. He came on in January. I was very disappointed. They offered to have me do the interviews with financial counselor, psychologist, MMPI and then come back another day to have Dr. Nigh as my doctor. It's funny, I was afraid they'd disappear or my husband wouldn't come back. So - I opted to stay. I thought Dr. Ditslear was a nice man. I'm comfortable knowing that he will have one of the senior physicians working beside him, because they always have 2 surgeons. I understand that he will be my primary surgeon-meaning he'll get the larger piece of pie. My preference in doctors is one that is so confident and sure that he could appear pompus. That is okay with me if he knows his stuff. Dr. Ditslear was very soft, meek, polite but his hand shake spoke strong. So that was nice. I'll probably find him very delightful and respect him. It's hard to gather that from one visit and with my added surprise."
