"3/29/03 - My husband and I attended the seminar at Chapman Medical Center sponsored by Coastal Center for Obesity. It was standing room only! I didn't really learn anything new, but then I have researched the daylights out of WLS. I was a little suprised how straight-forward they were regarding the risks of complications and side effects. I like that. At the conclusion of the seminar, I turned in my paperwork and gave them copies of my insurance cards. I'm ready. Now I just have to wait for insurance approval. 6/10/03 - I met with Dr. Owens today and found him very concerned, highly professional and personable. I left my appointment feeling that I'm in good hands."
