1st night after surgery!
Apr 07, 2011
Well all I can say is What a Day! Thank you everyone for your support! It truly means a lot to me.. Today had its ups and downs... I haven't been able to drink the pain meds so I just dealt with them... Food no way not now.. had 3 tiny bites of jello, coupled tiny bites on a pop cicle.. and lots of ice... lol.. i have no urge to eat. although trying to get all this air out of my body is hardest part...
i have made a path through my house and i have walked it like 100x's ! i'm determined to get to the healing process asap... Didn't do much sleeping.. After I got home from the hospital yesterday I slept from 4pm-8pm.. and then went back to bed at 11pm and woke up this morning around 7am.. I have been up the whole time..
Amen to not having nasuea! yesterday was yuk! over all I'm still a firm believer that I did the right thing.. and I'm so excited to get my excersise on!! I was able to eat 1 multi vitamin and 2 calciums and 1 b12 today so that was good.. I will try to sip on protein shake tomorrow.. it is true when they say if you can't do it at first to keep trying...
For those who haven't had the surgery yet .. it is worth it! The pain will go away soon I just know it! And keeping a postive attitude is the main thing.. If anyone has any question for me please ask I will not hold back..
Thank you to everyone.. will post tomorrow and let you know how things are going!
Good night
Anna
2days out!
Apr 06, 2011
Well i'm home! I had surery Tuesday am and got home Wednesday afternoon! HOW DO FEEL?
Well alot of discomfort in my stomach! lol.. burping alot!, not able to take my meds ( the liquid lortab) doesn't go down so I refuse to take it for now. This morning I was going to drink some of my protein sahke and after 1 sip that was not okay so I'm eating jello! small little bites and it is going down with no problems.... I can tell you I'm not hungry at all.
Had nausea everytime I would get out of the bed at the hospital but only have had it once since the surgery! which in my opinion is awsome... i have been up on my feet at least 6 x's in the hospital walking around trying to get all this air out of me!
Overall it hurts a little more than what I thought it would but I'm done for the challange... I know that you have to keep a positive attitude!!! And they say every day gets a littel better and I can agree so far 2 days later I feel better than I did yesterday!
Oh, and you will not rest in the hospital! lol.. wait til you get home... well i'm going to relax for a while if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask I know I did before the surgery!
take care

My New Adventure
Apr 03, 2011
If you anything like me you have heard it all your so pretty if you lost a little of weight or you have a great personality... I have struggled with weight as far back as first grade, well that is when I can remeber hearing family and friends talking about it. I have an amazing family, I'm the oldes of 3 girls and they don't have the same weight issues that I have, well not to the extreme! My family has been on this journey with me for at least 30 years and I first the time have decided to take control of it!
I didn't have insurance to pay for the surgery so I took money from here and there and saved and well made it happen! I hope to feel good in my skin! I hope to cross my legs when I sit, I hope to ride a bike and become adventures! So many things go through my head I just can't even imagine what it is going to be like.
The year I was 23 I lost 100lbs and well it was realy great but within 2 years I gained it back! I lost it the old fashion way and then had my baby girl and 1st year of marriage it slowly came right back on and since then it has been a yoyo!
My surgery is set for 4/5/2011 and I'm excited and a little nervous! Not nervous about the surgery but how I'm going to manage my new life! Well I can keep righting for days so much in 36 years to talk about.. but got to get rest..
Good luck to those who have conquered there fight and good luck to those that have it in the future!
Take care
Anna
