At the age of 34, I’m scared to death of WLS but, at this point I’m tired of being overweight. Everyone in my family is scaring me even more with their horror stories. I have 3 kids under 12 and I’m scared that WLS will kill me. My BMI is about 35 and I’m about 70 pounds overweight. My story is like most; I’ve tried every diet in the book. I even did lipo last year and nothing worked. I need an angel and support because the decision to do this is making me more scarred and nervous everyday. I have started the process but I’m not sure to go through with it. Please please please help.
Had to have the band emptied. Gained about 8 pounds. Will have a fill next Monday, cant wait!April 2006

Thanks everyone for your prayers and support. I am now 4 days post op and feeling okay. During surgery my doctor discovered a had a hernia the size of a baseball so he removed that before placing the band. I was discharged from the hospital Wednesday afternoon and have been staying at my parent’s home until today. I'm hungry, weak and tired. Christmas is two days away and I have to get things done. My post op appointment with my doctor is December 29. I’m going to try to stay on clear liquids until then.

January 12, 2007. Happy New Year. This year will be better then last year. This, I promise myself. I’m not eating much these days. I really don’t have an appetite. I only consuming about 300 calories, if that a day. I work out 25- 45 minutes daily. I have lost abut 15 pounds and a whole dress size so far. I was hoping to have lost more but, God is still good.
January 19, 2007- one month anniversary –Thank you God. Well folks, today is my one month anniversary. I’m down about 20 pounds or so. I also had my first fill today. That was a breeze no pain at all.
February 19, 2007- Two month anniversary –Thank you God. Well folks, today is my second month anniversary. I’m down about 31 pounds or so. I also had my second fill this past Friday. I’m feeling real restriction now. I can’t eat anything and I’m only can drink about 3ounces at time. Today I’m wearing a size 10 Jean. Yes!!!!!
March 18, 2007 Three months out, I can’t believe it.To God be the glory. Well, gang, as of today I have lost 42 pounds. I feel great. I exercise just about everyday. The elliptical machine is now my best fiend. That’s funny because I use to hate it. I’m still not eating very much. I might need to get a little unfilled. Eating solid food is a major problem for me. I’ve develop a new love for the bathroom because I’m there quit often. Some days I consume less then 300 calories. Yesterday, I bough I pair of size 8 DKNY jeans. Yes an eight! Last week someone actual called me skinny. Me skinny? Go figure that one.

Hello Family. I haven’t updated my page in awhile. Sorry. It’s been 6 months since my surgery and I did manage to loss 50 pounds, but, I gained back about 5lbs. Weight loss for me has almost stop. I received my 4th fill this past Friday and I really don’t have any restriction. Why? But all in all, God is still blessing.
