Angel, here. Mandi is safe at home as of yesterday 5pm. She has not had any nausea or vomiting and is tolerated her liquied diet very well. When I spoke to her this am, she and her husband Scott had already gone for a walk. I told that was way more than I had done today. Mandi, if my surgery and immediate post op period are half as good as yours has been, I will feel blessed. Keep up the good work and remember tips to share with me; just 22 days away, yeah!! mucho prayers and love, Susan

I spoke with Mandi this am and she is sounding more like herself. She had the nasogastric tube removed last night and had her leak test today with she passed with flying colors. She has been up for a walk today and says her doctor may let her go home TONIGHT if she tolerates her "meals" today. Mandi, keep up the great attitude; you know that makes all the difference. When it seems hard to feel good, think about the shopping trip we can make together to Victoria's Secret, where the sales people don't make you feel uncomfortable and in fact comment on your cute little figure!

Hi Susan! I didn't know how to post an update on the main page either :*( Maybe someone could *clue us in* ??? I tried by clicking on the *post to this page* but never figured it out. I am SO happy Mandi has an Angel!! (the page didn't indicate that she did is why I called to check on her). Love & blessings to Mandi & Susan from a fellow Texan!!

I am Mandi's angel and I don't know how to post an official update, but Mandi had her surgery this am at Zale and is doing well. What a trooper. I went to see her this afternoon and the thing that is bothering her the most is the nasogastric tube and her dry mouth. Other than that, her pain is well controlled. My prayers are still with you, Mandi.

~~~~SURGERY UPDATE~~~~ I spoke with Scott, Mandi's husband. Her surgery went very well!! She is groggy & sore. He was very appreciative that I phoned. WAY TO GO Mandi!! We are ALL very proud of you.

I just wanted to say that my surgeon was Doctor Provost and believe me.. you are getting the best!!!! I just hit my goal yesterday of weighing 135 and a size 6!! I have done this in 11 months!!!! Couldnt have done it without Provost!!! Good luck to you!!! Zale Lipshy is like a 5 star hotel!!! Impeccable service!
