November finally here. I am still waiting to hear from my primary insurance my secondary has come back with and approval but it does me no good unless the primary says yes. I can not get a date until that time. My work is still being helpful but it is now to the point that they need to know when I will be out because others are starting to ask for days off during the holiday. Well finally during thanksgiving week I was informed that I was approved by my primary insurance also. But I can not get a surgery date until the surgeons office gets a fax from insurance since the approval was verbal. Supposedly on Wednesday or monday after thanksgiving I will be given my date. I am  soooo excited and ready to start my new healthy life. I am quite nervous I will get in trouble with surgeon for the weight I have gained over the last couple of months stress eating and last mealitis. The surgeons office did state that I will be scheduled for sometime in December but ? when. I feel like my life is on hold until I know. I can plan things etc. I have a mini vacation scheduled for mid January with my mom that is already paid for so I hope to be able to go with no problems.

ok this was a busy month first I finished my monitored diet. 3 days before the end of Sept. I was told 2 weeks prior to that everything was ready just needed final diet. So when I call to check and make sure everything sent off I was told more paperwork needed!! what I though all turned in so over next week and half or so I spent each available minute call doctors getting the paperwork that I thought had been turned in finally turned in. Ok so finally everything sent in to ins. yeah !!! It only took 1 week for friends to get approval so hopefully I'll have the same luck. Four days go by and no patience me calls the insurance to make sure everything there and progress is being made. OMG they show nothing!! I call surgeons office they claim to not know that I have 2 insurances and they sent paperwork to my secondary and not my primary!! Several of the employees are new and it is a new location so I assume this is the reason for all the mix ups (hopefully) I emailed to doctor as per his instruction if we ever feel we are not being taken care of properly. So very quickly the correct insurance gets the paperwork. now the waiting begins again. one week nothing second week I call and find out my case manager is on vacation for a week WHAT!!!! does the work just sit there while she is gone????YES!! I call several times during the next few weeks (after she gets back from vacation) trying to speak with her and never did I get the oppurtunity always someone to run interference. Anyway my secondary came back with an approval hooray now waiting on my primary........................................................................

Well at the end of this month will be the end of the 6 month monitored diet. I have lost and gained throuhgout. I excercise than reverted back to couchpotatoeism then back several times. I an not actually a couch potatoe just very busy mom who colapses at the end of the day. Anyway, in total I have gained 5 lbs. I don't know how but I did. I hope the gain does not cause my surgeon to cancel or postpone the surgery. I am told it only takes a few weeks to get the approval from my insurance. My work has been very helpful giving me days off when needed and promising me the time off I need when surgery comes around. We are hoping to have the surgery sometime btwn mid October and mid November.

Same old thing dieting!!! Sometimes I'm winning others.. ha I am so losing(not weight though hahaha)

Well I went on vacation with family to disneyworld and then went on a 3 day disney cruise I assumed that we walked so much that I would have lost at least 10lbs. but I actually gained 3 lbs this month.PCP not upset just informs me to start some type of excercise program.

I started my required 6 month monitored diet this month Starting weight  277lbs I plan on doing a low calorie diet this month.

Well I went for  my initial consultation with surgeon. I really like him he seems very patient and enjoys answering questions. I have researched 
Dr.Seger and he also has performed gastric bypass on two other ladies that I work with, so I have confidence in him. According to my insurance I must complete a six month monitored diet before I can get approval so I will begin that next month when I see my PCP.
