Hey, my name is Amy. I am 22 years old. I have been overweight since I was in 4th grade. I am currently 234 lbs. and 5'4. I feel so lucky to have this opportunity at my age and to have longer to live a happier life filled with more things to do when I get healthier. There are a lot of things I don't feel comfortable doing because of my weight and soon, I will be able to do those things with confidence. I haven't even had my surgery yet and it seems like I am already changing for the better mentally. I know it is going to be difficult at first, but it will be well worth it in the end. I am so glad I found this website with such a wonderful group of people who are going through the same thing I am or already have been through it. I have gotten a lot of help and advice. Many of my questions have gotten answered here and it makes me feel more secure with my decision.
