July 1 - Second visit with the surgeon! YEAH!!! It was actually with Tammy. I made all the appointments, but cardiologist and psicologist didn't send the reports. When she have all is going to send to my insurance.
I'm going to call next monday, July 13th just to know how is everything. :O)
July 13- The person in charge of the papers is on vacation so I need to wait until she came back.
July 21 - The office sent my papers to the Insurance! =) Cross fingers with me!
July 22 - My insurance receive the papers!
July 28 - Third Support Meeting.
July 29 - I call my insurance and they told me I was APPROVED! on the 27!!!!! =)
August 10 - Pre-Op appointment! I GOT A DATE: August 21
August 16 - Start Pre-Op Diet
August 21 - 12.45 LAP BAND at Hartford Hospital
August 22 - At home! The surgery was at 2 pm and around 8 pm I was walking. I'm feeling a little tired but I'm happy about I'm banded.
August 31st - Post op follow up - 11 lbs down
September 28th - Second post op - First Fill 1.5 - Got it because I asked for! :O) 8 lbs down
November 10th - Third post op - Second Fill 1.5 Total 3 cc - 8 lbs down
December 23rd - Fourth post op - Third Fill 1.5 Total 4.5 cc 4 lbs down
2010
January 25th - Fifth post op - No fill - Still 4.5 cc - 6 lbs down
March 10th - Sixth post op - Fourth Fill .5 Total 5 cc - 2 lbs down
March 19th - Hello ONEDERLAND!!!! Today 199, so I'm soooo happy I'm not going to see the 200's anymore! =)
May 3rd - Seventh post op - No fill - Still 5 cc - 10 lbs down
June 28 - Eight post op - No fill - Still 5 cc - 7 lbs down
Sep 8 - 1 year post op - No fill - Still 5 cc - 4 lbs down
Oct - Moving out of the State
Dec 10 - New Doc, Dr Rosenthal - No Fill - Still 5 cc
2011
Feb 8 - Plastic Surgery
May 27 - Dr Rosenthal - Everything went fine
Aug 15 - Dr Rosenthal - Everything fine again. He wants to see me in a year.
2012
Feb - My labs turn out and big surprise: Anemia. Plus low calcium, low B1, low D. Started pills for all of that and also scheduled 2 iron infusions. Also they discovered something in my gallbladder and told me when I'm good with my labs, they need to remove, they are thinking next year. =(
Mar 20 and 22 - Iron Infusions done. Now need to wait 6 weeks to do the labs again. Wish me luck!
Nov - All my labs are great!
Dec - Gain weight! Diet again... grrrr
2013
July - The band was empty because I was vomiting all day long... Doc said "You're going to gain weight, but your health it's first". Damm, 30 pounds...
December - Every month and half adding cc now I'm at 6 cc and I still eat all I want. So frustrated...
2014
February. For most than a year a I have my insurance, from my job, and my husband, so we decided we paid too much, and keep mine (Neighboorhood), and today one day prior to my lap band adjustment that they don't cover me and have to pay $1200. I cancel the appointment and I'll try to back to Cigna.
2015
Dr Rosenthal emptied the band and starting adding fluids slowly.
2016
Dr Smoztein took my case and emptied the band, yes again. Reflux and vomiting came back, and worse than before. Plus, I gained weight.
2017
So frustrated, I'm starting to think in a revision
2018
January Starting my papers with insurance to remove the band. I almost need to start all over again because the insure denied because of lack of papers.
February 1st Orientational Seminar and Phycologist
February 6th PCP visit to get the recomendation letter
February 7th visit to the surgeon Samuel Smoztein, he empied the band and sent me the pre-ops
February 9th sent the papers of my 4 months supervised diet with an MD to the surgeons office, labs done!
February 15th Endoscopy - Before the endoscopy I got a call "You're aproved" and then after the procedure my surgeon Samuel Szomstein told me the date: March 6th
February 16th X-Ray and ultradound - All pre-ops done!
February 26th Pre-Op appointment with my surgeon and also with the anesthesioly department
March 6th Surgery: finally band is going out and I will welcome the Sleeve!
