Well, I finally have been approved and have a surgery date of November 17th. Now, I get the jitters. I have been riding so smooth so far. I wasn't scared until I got the actual surgery date and realized the momentious thing that I am about to do. Did any of you who have had the surgery, or are about to, feel this way?

~*~I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.~*~Hugs~*~

Whoo hoo! I have had my referral approved by my IPA and have my consult set-up with Dr. Peter LePort on 8/21. Can't wait. So far, so good with the IPA. Let's just hope they are as good about the surgery approval. I agree with most of you, the waiting is a bear. I feel like jumping out of my skin sometimes. God Bless to Momma Angel for her good wishes. I am glad to see you back. After reading all of the postings while you were gone, you are truly loved here. Take Care All!

Well, I finally did it. After kissing two frogs, I found a wonderful PCP who is extremely open minded about gastric bypass surgery, and does not believe that just diet and exercise work for everybody. I got my referral to Lite Dimensions yesterday. I cannot wait to get my first consulting appointment. I will keep you posted as I go along the process. The key here is to be proactive. I came armed with a complete list of all of the problems I am having, personal and health related. Do not leave anything out no matter what you may think. Let the physician decide. I also came armed with a complete list back to when I was a little kid of all diets and fads I tried, whether medically supervised or on my own. Again do not leave anything out including the name of the product used. My PCP was overjoyed that I was so prepared as well as stated that I took all of the hard work away from him. So, do not give up hope, just stay one step ahead of the process. My PCP will now have the info if my insurance asks for it, instead of it being the other way around and needing to ask me for it. Take care!
