Surgery was a breeze
Jul 02, 2010
It was sooo hard to stay on my liquid protein diet for 14 days but I did it and it paid off. The Dr. said he could tell I did not cheat and that my liver was one of the smallest that he has seen yet!! He said it was a pleasure to do my surgery and it went off without a hitch. I feel great and have been very strict with myself by doing just what the Dr. ordered starting with a lot of walking. I have hardly any pain, I had more pain when I had my gall bladder removed a few years ago. Coughing and deep breathing has not been a problem at all which surprised me, I was expecting much more pain since I did have my stomach cut in to 2 parts but honestly, hardly any pain at all. The best way I can describe it is it feels like sore muscles and not even that sore really. I hope I continue on this track going forward. This website has been a blessing for me and helped keep me focused on my goals. Another great thing is... the Dr. took me off my last diabetes pill when he released me from the hospital yesterday!!! I was taking 5 meds for diabetes alone including a shot twice a day and now NOTHING!!! Cheeee Hooooo!!!! That's Samoan for Yeee haww!!

First peer group meeting
Feb 18, 2010
I went to my first peer group meeting last night and it was so motivating so I realize how important they are to keep us on tract. I also met Joyce and I look forward to getting to know her better! Looking forward to the next meeting.
