"The first time I meet Dr. Dewitt I knew he was the surgeon for me. He answered all my questions, all four pages and never once made me feel like he was in a hurry. He has a great sense of humor and a great smile that makes you automatically feel comfortable. After having my surgery I feel even more strongly about him as a doctor. I had my bypass surgery on Friday and on Sunday I started feeling bad. He didn't send me home as I'm sure most doctors would have. Instead he kept me and ran a test on me on Monday. At 4:00 Monday afternoon I had emergency surgery to repair a strangulated bowel in an umbilical hernia. I feel like he saved my life. He is a wonderful caring doctor. He came by to see me every day of the seven days I was in the hospital and most days more than once. I really know that he sincerely cares about his patients. The only downside to him at all is that his office staff is a little less than friendly and would not return calls, and often seemed overworked and were unable to answer questions."

"Overall it was a good stay. The nurses were very nice. However, it seemed like the night shift nurses came to check on me a lot more than day shift nurses. Also, I went all day for two days without getting any juice. I was in ICU for two days and the waiting room where my family stayed was horrible. The chairs were horrible and it was in a secluded part of the hospital."
