Here I am again... late as
usual!!!  We finally found a new home to move to.  Been unpacking for
days and days!!  LOL  We moved from a 4 bedroom farm house to a two
bedroom trailer.... quite an adjustment.... but much easier to afford.  My
daughter is back in school.  She started back yesterday.  I sure do hope
that she does better this year.  She is a junior and lacking 3 credits
that will keep her from graduating on time.  She could be a straight A
student if she would just turn in the homework like she is supposed
to!!  A the school just keeps pushing her thru.... THANK YOU PRESIDENT
BUSH FOR THE NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND LAW>>>  it really sucks!     The weather
is changing pretty fast.. the mornings have been a chill 46 degrees!
Can you say... NOT READY FOR WINTER!  LOL  But oh well... the seasons go
on.  Ok, this isn't getting any of the unpacking done.... see you all
soon!!  Love, Kim

is a cutie!!
Any ideas for a name?  Love,  Kim

Ok, I should have posted
yesterday since I hit Onederland then!!  I finally am out of the 2's!!  Yeah
me!  A bright spot in my life!  Those are very few and far between right
now.  We are not having any luck at all with finding a new place to
live.  We have been looking closer to where my husbands job is so that I
can look for work also.  We live 30 miles from his work, and have only
one vehicle.  At this point in our lives, I am praying for a miracle.
If its not one thing its another.  But I can't give up... its not in
me.... Hugs, Kim

Ok, I just had to post today!!  I
had 2 WOWs happen today.. first, since surgery, I have not been able to
walk into a store and just try on any new clothes.  It makes me just
tense right up, I can't breathe, I start to cry.... its an awful
experience.  WELL>>>>>  today, my daughter and I spent the day in Walmart, and
after about an hour I figured today would be the day.... AND I DID
IT!!!  And the 2nd WOW was that I shopped in the non-plus side!!  I got
into a 16 regular!!  I am so excited!  Here is a picture of my new
clothes.. I also bought a shirt.  Size lg!!  I am so happy!
I also put my application into Menards, a new store opening in the
area.  They did interviews right on the spot.  Now all I have to do is wait
and see if I make it to the next round of interviews.  I sure am
hoping!!  Hope you all have a wonderful day!!  Love, Kim

Ok, this is a special post to
someone who - with the help of a couple of her friends, did something so
special for me...  (I still can't believe that you did this!)

Words will never express the way you made me feel today.  After
everything I have been thru this past 6 months, today you made me feel like a
person again...   The gift you gave me may not seem like much, but for
me its one of the biggest "good things" that has happened in a long
time.  I am a very blessed person.  I have good people around me - my
wonderful family, the best of friends, and a special person who doesn't
live very close to me.  I have forgotten just how good things are for me,
and today I was reminded that even when things are not going good, I am
still very blessed.  Thank you for everything you have done.  And for
being my good friend!!  I love you!!

Here I am again.  Its been a while.
A lot has been going on in my life and its not good.  Things are so
stressful for us right now, and it is affecting my weightloss.  I am not
gaining, which is good, but I am not losing either.  Life has been
dumping on us right and left.  We are looking for a place to live and not
having any luck at all.  The fact that we are in such financial straits
doesn't help.  I am currently waiting to hear on a temporary job in NY
that will give me a little income for the summer.  Its only temporary,
but it would help us to get out of the situation we are in.  The storms
knocked us without power for a whole week.  We lost all our groceries.
With a little *big* help from a special friend, we were able to replace
some of what we lost.  You are forever in my heart my friend!!  What
you did and have done will not go unnoticed!  I promise you this!

I haven't been updating because I just feel like I have nothing
positive to write.  And reading back, I notice this is true.  I try every day
to keep a positive outlook so that I don't sink into depression.  It
gets harder every day.  I am hoping for some good news this week about a
place we looked at.  But my guts are telling me its not going to
happen.   Ok....  enough of this.. I am outta here!  Have a good day all!

Hello everyone.  It's been a while since I have updated, but there is
so much going on in my life.  We are trying to get ready to move to
Florida.  We went there for a honeymoon and decided we liked it so much and
the jobs are so much more plentiful there than here we are going to
give it a chance.  It can't be any worse than living here has been!  So at
the moment we are in the process of selling most of our belongings, (we
won't have the room or the need for a lot of it anymore).  A lot of
mixed emotions about this.  A little over a week ago, I had to put my
Furface down, and it broke my heart.  Shay will be sadly missed in my
family.  I have finally stopped crying.... I think... and I want to do a
little memorial here for her.  So I am going to put a little poem and
picture of her here in my profile.  She was a great friend to our family.
We all loved her so much.

                           Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here,
that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can
run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm
and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and
vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just
as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they
each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly
stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager
body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the
green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally
meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The
happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved
head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long
gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Hello everyone!  Its been a
scorcher today!  Not feeling the greatest right now... got some sort of flu
bug going on. Yuck!  Oh well, it will pass!  Just thought I would hop in
here and update since I find that I am not at all faithful to this
updating business!  My one year anniversary passed with a total weight loss
in that years time of 145 lbs.  I am very happy with this number!  I am
currently only 5 lbs from Onederland!!!  OMG!  I haven't been there in
over 7 years!
Or maybe more?  I really can't remember!  Here is an updated picture
that my daughter took for me.  Have a great day!!!

Well, I am back!!!  I just got back
from a week long stay in Gulf Breeze Florida...and I absolutely loved
it!!  We are currently looking through the jobs sites there because we
have decided to move there.  I took some awesome pictures, just need to
learn how to add them to my profile so that I can share them with you.
It was really hard for us to come home.  More of an update later!!

Well, just 3 more weeks and its
time for the reception!  It sure is coming fast!  Just hope that I am
ready for it... Still would love to have all of you there!  I would love to
meet you all face to face!

I started a new job last Friday.  So far so good.  My new boss is so
into this surgery that I had, she tells everyone!!  She is so open and
straight forward, that I feel like I have known her for years.  I was
able to talk to her about how my last job ended and  she figures if I am
as honest with her as I was during the interview, there is no way I
could have done what the last job said.  Thank God that I was straight
forward with her!

To date, I have lost a total of 136 lbs.  I think I am losing inches
too because the backside of my jeans are starting to loosen.  Yeah me!!!
Would love to be able to buy a new pair for 14's for the reception!! I
keep threatening to buy a new pair, but then I always chicken out.
HEHE  Before I couldn't wait to go shopping, now I am ascared to!!  Oh
well... sooner or later I am going to have to... I am running out of
things to wear!  My Mom was laughing at me today, I had on a nicely fitting
shirt, with one of my "oversized" flannels on.  I can wrap it around me
almost a second time  LOL  Told her its my security!!  Still working on
letting go of the big clothes.    Many of my friends are having the
surgery or are checking into it now.  Told them all that I am here for
them.  I am going to be as supportive as possible, as they have all been
for me.   Well, time for me to go.... you all have a wonderful night!!
God Bless you all!!

Love,
Kim

03/15Hi there!  Its me again.  There is
so much going on.. I sometimes feel like I don't know if I am coming or
going!  I sent an email to the OH folks to add some pictures to my
profile.  So, in a few days I will have a face!!  I am so excited!  Autumn
will be so proud of me LOL

A lot is happening in my family.  Some good, some not so good.  I was
hoping that the bad went out with 2005, but looks like it is following
right into this year.  My Mom has a spot on her lung, and we are
anxiously awaiting what the results are going to be.  I hope they hurry and
don't take too long.  My niece was pregnant with her second child and
lost the baby at 4 months.  The baby's head was not developing properly
due to a lack of potassium in the system.  The docs say that if they baby
was carried to term there was no guarentee that it would have lived
thru delivery, or if it had, it would have had severy deformities.  I
guess in the end, it was a blessing in disguise.  I really don't know how
to look at it.  It just sucks.    On a good note, my Dad just called and
has found a dentist who is fixing his teeth, and giving him some new
ones!!  YEAH!!  He has waited a long time.  The plans for our reception
are still in the move... only 6 more weeks to go.  I can't wait for it
to be here.  Looking forward to seeing everyone.  Going to be a great
time!  Do you want to come??  Would love to see you all too!!  Well, If I
am going to get anything done today, I need to scoot.. I love you all!!
Have a wonderful day!!

Hugs, Kim

Well, here I am, the queen of
slackers updating my profile again!!  LOL  Sorry everyone!  Been a bit
depressing lately.  I have been jobless for over a month and not happy
about it at all.  Well, today I interviewed and had the job before I left
the salon!  I was so happy!  Things will be looking up again soon!  Now
I can continue on with our reception plans without totally panicking!
I start on Friday.  Its only part time, but it is a step up from
nothing!  My wonderful son is taking me shopping tomorrow (my first shopping
excursion since surgery!) so that I will have something decent to wear
that fits!   My weight is at a stall, but I am ok with that.  No reason
to panic.  I have been stressing a lot lately, and I'm sure things will
kick in as soon as I am out in the working world again.  Hope you all
had a wonderful day!!  Many hugs, and much Love, Kim

Good Morning!  Well, it is time for me
to do a little updating....and again, I am trying to get ready for
work, so will do my best.  My entire family knows about the wedding now...
and man were they all surprised!!  None of them had a clue!  LOL  Now
the race is on to get the reception planned for the 29th of April.  We
originally planned for an April 28th wedding, but Larry wants to get
married ASAP for insurance purposes...I no longer have any and have had to
cancel my 6 months appointment.  So.... today starts a race for getting
everything set for the day of wedded bliss!!  We are involving all of
our kids with the help of planning... I want them to feel like they are
a part of this as much as Larry and I are.  Planning on an afternoon
wedding so that none of the kids miss school or the ceremony.  We have
decided on having a pig roast for the reception.  With all the
volunteered help for this, it should go off without a hitch!!  Wish you could all
be there!!  Got to run for this morning.... MUCH LOVE!!  Kim

01/29
Well, we did it!!!  We got married 9 days ago, on the 20th!!  I am so
happy - was a little nervous, but my kids were there and my best friend
Autumn... they all made it wonderful!  I went to work for a few hours
right after the ceremony... had some updos to do for the schools
winterfest dance.  Then we had a photographer come in to do some pictures for
us.  As soon as I get them back I will be putting them here on my
profile for you all to see.  Our reception will be in April, when the
weather is much nicer.  Wish you all could be there to celebrate with us!!

The weight loss has really slowed down.  I know what I need to do, just
need to get off my butt and get moving.  I love my job, but I hate
working 6 days a week.  I never feel like I have a day for myself.  Also
looking for a new place to live.  This house is draining us..
.emotionally and financially.  Hopefully the right one will come along.

Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday... see you next time!!  Hugs, Kim

December 2005

Dec 12, 2005

12/13Good Morning everyone!  Today I am
down 118 lbs!!  I am so impressed with having had this surgery.  There is
no way possible that I could have lost this much weight without WLS.
Tomorrow is my 6 month mark, and I am very fortunate to have not had any
problems, (other than a couple of days where food just didn't sit
right)  and I have only dumped 3 times... can you say NO ketchup!!!  Most of
the time I feel absolutely wonderful.   I still have a little back
pain, but that is something to be expected.  However, it is no where near
the pain that I have become accustomed to.  I went to my first hockey
game on Saturday night and had a blast.  We walked quite a ways from the
parking garage to the arena, and then after the game walked down
stairs, and across the block to have a snack, and amazingly enough... I
wasn't out of breath!!  What a wonderful feeling!  I still see the old me in
the mirror on most days, but then every once in a while I see the new
me that is working its way out.  I know a lot of it is head games, but
the truth is, MY OLD CLOTHES DO NOT FIT ME ANYMORE!!!!  I am running out
of smaller clothes, LOL, and that means that in a few months I am going
to have to break my vow of not buying any new clothes.  In April, I
have to start shopping for an outfit to get married in.  No way am I going
to shop for that now.  PLenty of time for that tho.  Speaking of which,
a week ago my boyfriend and I started talking about marriage!!!  YEAH!
We have been together for 7 years.  And I couldn't have received a
better gift for the holidays.  My ring will be ready this Friday.  And last
night we took my Dad to dinner and Larry asked him how he would like to
have him for a son in law.   Needless to say, the look on my Dads face
was priceless!!!  We got his blessings, and now we just have to wait
until Sunday to tell the rest of my family!!  LOL  And that is another
update!!  Time for work, have a wonderful day everyone!!!

Well, I made it to the 12 weeks mark!
Was very happy with my checkup... inches lost are starting to show
tremendously!  I have had a lot of good things happen in the past few
weeks.  I am finally working in a fantastic salon, I enjoy going to work
every day!  The money is good and so are the people who are there.  Things
will definately be turning around in no time at all!  All my labs came
back perfectly.  No added vites that I have to take.  Only the ones I
knew I would be getting into.  I have lost enough weight that I am down
from a 30/32 to a size 22!!  What an awesome feeling!  My BMI is down
10 points from a 52 to a 42.  Can you say HAPPY DANCE?????   As it goes
right now, life is good, and I am feeling better about myself every
day.  I look forward to each day as it comes.  Have a wonderful day
everyone!  Love, Kim
