I have lost 91 lbs. and I can't get over it. It's been 6 months and 91 lbs...that's just craziness!!!!!

I am down 75lbs!!! I am SUPER excited!! This is the most weight I have ever lost at one time. Sometimes I hit plateaus and get scared that it might stop all together, but then I see the scale hit my goals and I get all excited again!

I can't believe it has been over a month since I last posted. I have lost 41 lbs. YEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everything is getting easier. I lost my lunch for the first time the other day. Other than that episode, everything has been really good. I just don't seem satisfied anymore though. I can't seem to find what I want to drink or eat. Nothing tastes the same. Oh well...the price we have to pay to look great!!!!!!!!!!!!! Until next time!

Well, I finally feel good enough to post. I had my RNY on last Wednesday, June 11. I have to admit, I have had some rough days. I just have NO energy AT ALL. The plus is that I have lost about 25 lbs. I just wanted to update everyone. I will post another time very soon.

That's right...let the Approval celebration begin!!!! I couldn't believe it. My bariatric coordinator submitted my information to insurance yesterday, mid-morning and she called back at 4:20 the same afternoon and told me I was approved. I had to ask her if it was a joke. I seriously couldn't believe it!! Woohoo!!!!!!

My surgeon's office called today and said they have received everything they need from all the Docs and we set a tentative surgery date of June 11. NOT KIDDING!!! I cannot believe how soon that is. Two weeks from tomorrow to be exact!!!! Whoa...talk about nervous! She is now submitting everything to insurance and she thinks we will know something within the week. I'll let ya know!

Ok, so I thought I was going to get the actual Upper GI done at this visit, but it turned out just to be a new patient consultation. I personally think this is just another money racket...another way to collect a co-payment. All they did was weigh me, take my blood pressure and tell me when I came back not to eat anything after midnight. They could have sent that in the mail, or told me that over the phone. Oh well, I am scheduled now for June 5 to actually have the procedure done.

Cardio & Ultrasound appointments...

I went to see a Cardiologist yesterday (May 12) and it went great. They did an EKG and asked ALL KINDS of questions...then, cleared me for surgery. Not kidding! I didn't even have to get a stress test..YEY!!! This morning I had an Ultrasound of my Gallbladder. That wasn't bad either. The only discomfort was when she pushed the tool around, up, under and what felt like through, my ribs...now that was uncomfortable, but not painful. I have one more test to go (Upper GI, next week). My testing will be over and I think it will then be time to submit everything to insurance....
. I am praying everyday that all goes well. Boy, am I going to have a party if I get approved!!!

Not too much to report. I had my Nutritionist and Psychologist appointments this past Wednesday, May 7th. They were both very informative and both said they highly recommended me for the surgery. One step closer!!!!!!!!
