David Wernsing

"He is very down to earth and speaks on a level that you understand. I have had no bad experience with him up until this point. His office staff is wonderful, especially Cindy the Nurse. She is the one who gets the patients approved with their insurance. I ran into some problems with my approval process and she was very up front with me and gave me the tools to be successful. I can not think of anything that I didn't like about him up until this point. He requires all surgical candidates to attend at least two support group meetings that involve post surgical members. Aftercare is addressed completely during the first presurgical consultation with him. He is very up front about the restrications that this procedure puts on the patient and lets you know exactly what the risks are. The hospital also requires that you attend a seminar and nutritional consultation before you can be approved for surgery. I am very satisfied with my decision to use him for my surgery. The only negative thing that I have to say is that he is very blunt. That is not something that bothers me, I would rather him be honest and upfront than try to beat around the bush and confuse me. Overall, I would say that the whole experience with Dr. Wernsing and his staff has been a positive one. I think that his surgical conpetence, from what I have seen thus far, is better than his bedside manner."
