"My first impression of Dr. Kozar was during the mandatory seminar they hold about once a month for newbies. He is very well spoken, gave alot of credit to his staff, which I thought was big of him and went over alot of statistics I hadn't previously come across in my research. rnAfter that, I went in for my consultation a month later. Front staff was very nice, but I did end up waiting 2 1/2 hours to see him and wasn't told there'd be a wait. (I had a 5 hour drive ahead of me after the appt). rnWhen I did get in, the nurse was kind and I was impressed they were using hand-held computers for charts. I discussed the Lap and Rouyen Y- I had been hoping he would suggest the Lap as I wasn't sure I could go through with the Rouyen Y (the whole cutting of body parts disturbs me) and he did agree that the Lapband was more appropriate for my circumstances, which I appreciated. He did stress that the Lap is just a tool. If I use it correctly and follow the rules, I will have success.rnI was suggested Dr Kozar by another Obesityhelp.com member, and feel confident in his qualifications. I go in for the pre-op next, and then surgery. Any more to report, good or bad, I will try to post!"
