WOOOHOOO  I had my first follow up appt and the Dr H. said I have lost 16 lbs so far!!!!!   Everything is going great so far.  The only trouble I am really facing other then adhesive allergy is HEAD HUNGER!!!  My belly is full and my head is still saying hey I want, I want, I want.   Jeesh, it makes me wonder if hypnotherapy really works cause it would be so much easier not to be fighting myself.  -Brandy

It is not fun to find out that you indeed have an allergy to adhesive when you have half of you stomache covered in adhesive and you are itching like a monkey with a double set of fleas.  The nurse told me to take all of the adhesive off and to try paper tape.  It is not a fun process to have all that adhesive removed At lease all of the actual holes look like they are starting to heal pretty good.  -Brandy

I had my surgery on Monday and everything went smoothly!  I was able to go home about 6 pm on Tuesday.  The staff at Shawnee Mission were all great!  The only problem I had was I was rooming with an eating person and it seemed all she talked about was food and then all the smells of the food.  I was laid pretty low on Wednesday making sure to slurp up my med's right at every 4 hours.  Thursday I really felt alive again and I was able to wait at least 6 hours between doses.  I was not really able to get into a book and had a little trouble watching a full movie but just as longa s I kept walking regularly and moving I felt sore but great. I have been feeling real hungy and wanting all the bad stuff but  I was able not to goble up everything because I knew that it was just head hunger not real hunger and it would probably make me sick anyway.  Today is Friday and I feel real good, I am down 10 lbs, I have not taken the pain killer yet.  The only issue I have is that I do have a rash on my stomache, it seems really prominent everywhere the tape was and it itches like crazy where there is still tape.  I am waiting for a return call from the Doctor.   -I hope that everyone else has a smooth journey.  -BJ
