Everything went well.  I am down 20 lbs from my first post-op appt.  Yay! 

Appetite is still gone, but I do eat.  Been working on chicken/turkey and peanut butter.  I've had problems with all three.  The good DR says to take it slow and it will get better.

Wish I had more time to jump on the computer and get to know others on here.  Just too busy.

Hope all is well with everyone. 

Everything went great.  I had all 14 staples removed with no problems.  As of the appointment I was down 24 pounds, today I am down 29.  Woohoo!

Tomorrow I start the "pureed" diet.  Not sure how this week will go.  I have a couple recipes I am going to try.  I have a problem with textures of certain foods.  If it's not meant to be a smooth consistency, I may not be able to tolerate it.  And there is NO WAY I am going to eat baby food meats.  Sorry for those that love or can tolerate them but....ACK!

Still having a hard time getting in all my liquids in for the day.  I hope this changes soon.

Well, I am home recovering after my surgery on 07/07/10.  Surgery went great!  Had a bit of a problem afterwards with nausea and vomitting after waking up from surgery.  I was glad that was over quickly.  My hospital stay was short, just like I like it.  I was home by the next day at 3pm.  YAY!  

It's been a slow go the first few days at home.  I don't have an appetite at all, and I am finding it a bit hard to get all my daily liquid requirements.  Sleeping has been so-so.  I'm not a back sleeper at all, so I get very uncomfortable quickly so I end up sleeping a couple hours, then up for a couple more. 

All in all though, it's not so bad.

It's that time...surgery day.  My surgery is scheduled for 11:30am EST.  I will be leaving for the hospital here soon.  I'm starting to get little butterflies in my tummy, like usual when preparing to have surgery.   

I wish everyone who is having their surgery today, the best of luck!!

It's 07/05/10...only a day and a half left till life finally changes.  Tomorrow I call to get my surgery time for Wednesday!
