im 30 years old and a mother of 4, i was at my heavest weight ever on january 13 ,2012 weighing in at 269LB on my 5 ft even frame , i have lots of stress in my life especally over the last few years,i am an emotional eater to the fullest , my life became so physically hard due to my massive weight gain that my children and husband had to do everything for me ,i was always in pain and have developed so many health problems due to the fact of my weight gain ,i have been a smoker for the last 9 years and last june i got a precription for chantix and havnt had a smoke since i gained 30 lbs in 3 months after i stoped smoking and every month after , the weight just keep pileing on sometimes 7lbs a month
. i started looking into wls in 2009 and finnally finnally two years later i was approved for gastric bypass 
, after 4 days of liquid diet i was on my way to tyler texas for the surgury,it was the scarest thing in the world to me i cant explain the emotions that i felt. some people may be asking why it took 2 years to get approved, well the reason is #1 i have medicade for insurence, #2 i was very misinformed by everyone , medicade ,doctors , everyone!!!!! it was rediclious the things i endured ...its rather depressing when i look back, thank god its behind me but medicade basically has you jump through hoops before they will even look at your case.( if anyone has texas medicade and needs the criteria please ask i know all !!!)
my surgury was preformed at east texas medical center by dr babineau. ( awesome man) , everyone at the hospital was great , i rember being wheeled back into the operating room and there was a raido on ,it was playing " nothing" by the band "the script" i felt it was a comforting sign id be okay because its one of my very fav. songs, i rember an oxygen mask being place on my face and thats it 3 hours later i am in recovery ,i felt so much abdomnial pain upon wakeing up but the morphine pump shortly followed along with other pain meds , i was soon a happy camper, my hospital stay was 5 days , i had no complacations at all. today im 6 weeks post op i have lost about 40 lbs total.
i have since then been hospitalized went in to my pcp ,not my wls surgon and he was alarmed due to ketones in my urine along with a uti and signs of dehydration so he called my surgon and was told i needed to head back to tyler to be hospitalized
, one of the reasons for the uti and dehydration was becasue every time i eat or drink anything at all i throw up

once i got to the hospital i was put on iv fluids ,over 5 days i went through about 54 bags of saline , so much i gained 9 lbs of water weight lol, i had a g.i scope done and the opening to my pouch was dialated , he had become irratated due to ulcers and had closed up due to swelling ,thats why i was vomiting so badly ,so according to them my problem has been fixed, im not so sure though.....but anyways im doing my best to follow all of the rules and i am looking forward to a healthy ,new me.
also i keep trying to up a pic of myself from my laptop and it keeps telling me that the file is to large and i have no idea how to fix it.... sorry
