Since the Insurance game did not happen I have decided that I would start my blog all over. I tried to get the sleeve through Aetna and was denied. I also tried to get the DS in 2 parts. Was denied. I really feel like if you have a GOOD SURGEON that is willing to fight the good fight you will get approval. My surgeon was not one that wanted to fight. He wanted to push the By-pass. That is a no-go for me. So I'm in the process of getting my sleeve Through self pay. I will be going to Victoria TX. Way south TX. for my sleeve this August. August the 24Th to be exact. So my journey will start at that time. I was thinking about waiting again but BTDT. I waited for the INS. to get in the game this year and it did not happen. So I'm hearing reports that Aetna is suppose to be revising. Will here it is July and nothing as of yet. So do I wait until 2010? I do not think so. I have been on this road since September of 2008. Was told it would get approval in 2009. So far not so. So here is to self pay and hoping my husband will get another job when this one is finished. If not then I will be healthy enough to get out there and get one to help him out. So the count down begins. Will be leaving to TX on the 14Th and get my sleeve on the 24Th and will be coming back to WI. on the 29Th. One thing that worries me is that it is a long drive. 26 hrs. So here is to no complications.
