Ok...so today I am 10 days Post-Op. Each day gets a little easier. I won't kid you...those first 5 or 6 days after coming home from the hospital were very rough. EVERYTHING made me nauseaous! I've been pretty much on liquids and soup. Applesauce wasn't sitting well...too sweet making me nauseous again. Yesterday after reading my diet guidelines from my Surgeon, I found I could have an egg with cheese. So I got all psyched! Went in the kitchen and made this beautiful 1 egg w/ 2 pcs of American cheese omlette! Wooohooo! Took 3 bites and that was it.....boom full. Wow! Are you kidding me....3 bites. Well the day gets better...it was also my day for my first post-surgical visit with my surgeon. Drove 2 hours down to Miami, appt. went well 22 lb. weight loss in 9 days. Surgeon told me I needed to get in more protein. So far Protein drinks have done nothing but make me nauseous. On the drive back home my wife was hungry so we stopped at the Hard Rock in Ft. Lauderdale. She said lets walk around to all the restaurants and see if there is anything on the menu that sounds good to you. So I found a place that had King Crab bites and Crab cakes. Ok lets try this one. 6oz King Crab bites...$21.00 Ate 2 oz. and was full....wow again! Head hunger is a bitch! Stopped at Wal-Mart on the way home and brought home some salsbury steak dinners and some orange creamsickles. Got home ate a little over half of the salsbury steak little bitty bites at a time. It was Yummy! Wow...just reading over this again and can't believe how much I actually ate yesterday....LOL

It was a rough day. Felt nauseous all day and had difficutly getting any food or liquids in. Ended up going and getting an IV started and flowed in a bag of fluids. Had a hard time contacting my Dr. but finally got a script for some Zophran about 10pm. Every smell bothers me. This is a tough time post op. Slept in bed til 4am then up to the bathroom and crashed in the living room recliner.I hope tomorrow is easier.
