"I went to him on the recommendation of my heart doctor. He listened to me and realized I had researched the surgery. He carefully talked to me, gave good written guidelines, expressed his concerns (my age and comormidities) but decided I was a good candidate for the surgery. I met with him again three weeks later. By this time my insurance company had approved the surgery. He answered all 49 of my questions I had typed out so I would not forget anything important to me. I saw him only these two times before my surgery but felt completely at ease with him. I have been very satisfied with his care with surgery, hospital based care, and aftercare in his office. His office staff is very friendly and non intimidating. They have been quite helpful when I have had questions. Dr. Suhl has a very sensible and practical approach to recovery, nutrition, and aftercare. He was concerned with my going home and had home health nurses come in several times to check on me. He also called my house to check on me. This was reassuring. I have had no problems and I thank Dr. Suhl for his help in making my transition to a healthier life possible."
