I have my surgery date of Sept 3rd Yeah Yeah I thought I would add a little more. I am 56 yrs old and an a nurse. I know what's best for my health and that's what this is about. I enjoy so much tho the before and after pictures. I've been married 38 years to the same guy...Yes I got married when I was 17 yrs old, and still in high school. From then on I went up and down on the scale. I have 2 grown boys and 3 grandchildren. They are wonderful. I'm hoping to retire next year. I don't know if the economy will let me. Anyway that's me. I will post pictures soon....As soon as I figure it out! I'm so proud of all of you. We need to take control of our own destinies...God Bless you all. Patty
My surgery is over...I'm just starting week 3 and trying to figure out what I can eat and what I can't ....my surgeon has started me on hamburger and fish and some vegs and fruits. So far no dumping ....but definitely full after hamburger with out bun of course. I'm a 56 yr old nurse who plans to retire next January...healthy I hope. I'm a little bummed because I'm up in weight 2 lbs in the evening after vacationing for 3 days....It will come off. God Bless you all Patty
Update on my profile.....I love this site! I'm back to work and have lost 28 pds so far and many inches. I'm down a size and a 1/2. My husband is applauding me and supporting me. He says now I'm a cheap date. He's lost 5 pds. Has 10 more to be really healthy ....not like my 90. Anyway everything is going fine. I've had one problem and that's constipation. If you have this problem email me. I found the answer. I love teaching the gastric bypass and band patients before surgery. I connect them with this site. It's phenomenal...I was connected up by a patient telling me about this site and the rest is history. I'm doing great loosing slow....but allowing my body to catch up.
